Is E.T. really out there?

When I was 8 my dad bought me a cheap telescope from a pawn shop. I didn't care the thing could do its job fine and when my dad told me to point it to a part of the night sky one day my life changed forever. I could see Saturn and its ring barely but the two points on each side of the sphere were indeed distinguishable. I was so excited when my dad told me we were over 700 million miles away from Saturn yet there I was getting a tiny glimpse of the huge thing! It looked something like this:
This day made me feel so tiny. We inhabit just a minuscule portion of the galaxy! The possibilities of life then are endless because the universe is so vast and so big! I think most rational people have to believe there is life on many, many other planets just based on the in the size of the universe and the number of stars, galaxies, planets and other things that exist that we don't know about (clearly beyond my knowledge base!). To deny the existence of life beyond our beautiful earth seems very narrow minded.
I hope that the beings on the other planets treat their home better than we have treated ours.

Are you someone who looks up at the night sky constantly wondering where everything is or could be? Then I recommend trying googles awesome app: Google Sky! It pin points your location with GPS and shows you the different planets and constellations right above your head!
